πŸ“‹ Overview

FinMap is a personal expense-tracking app, and we take your privacy seriously. This policy explains how your data is handled.

βœ… We do not collect personally identifiable information, do not show ads, and do not sell or share your data with third parties.

πŸ“¦ What data is stored?

FinMap only stores the entries you type in yourself, including:

This data is stored only on your device and in your personal iCloud account.

🀝 Split and sharing

When you invite someone to a split group, that group's expenses and settlements, along with the name and photo you set, are shared with them through Apple's iCloud sharing.

πŸ’Ύ Backups

Backups made in the app are saved to the FinMap folder in your iCloud Drive (or on your device if iCloud Drive is off).

🌐 Network connections

Apart from Apple's services (iCloud and the App Store), the app connects to only two places, and neither receives your entries or any personal information:

As with any network request, these services receive the information that comes with it, such as your IP address.

☁️ iCloud sync

If you turn on iCloud, your entries are synced between your devices through Apple CloudKit.

πŸ’³ Payments

FinMap's one-time purchase is processed by the Apple App Store. We do not collect or store any payment information or credit card details. All transactions are handled by Apple.

🚫 What we don't do

πŸ—‘οΈ Deleting your data

You can delete any entry in the app at any time. Uninstalling the app removes all local data from your device. To delete data stored in iCloud, go to Settings β†’ Apple Account β†’ iCloud β†’ Manage Storage on your iPhone.

πŸ‘Ά Children's privacy

FinMap is not designed specifically for children under 13, and does not knowingly collect personal information from children.
